Vicente García is a Dominican composer, musician and singer who fuses different styles and musical genres and is characterized by having a special sensitivity to Dominican and Caribbean music. In 2017 he won the Latin GRAMMY in the category of "Best New Artist". Likewise, with the album "A La Mar" he won as "Best Songwriter Album" and with the single "Bachata en Kingston" as "Best Tropical Song".
In 2002, he began his musical career in the funk / soul Dominican band Calor Urbano, which quickly gained public recognition and positioned himself as one of the most listened to alternative bands in his country. During 2010 he decided to leave the band to start his solo career, releasing his first album "Melodrama". In 2014, he premiered the single "Te Soné", which became a viral phenomenon when it surpassed 50 million visits, placing himself in the first audience places in Colombia and achieving a series of successful presentations in Colombian and Dominican territory.
In 2016, he signed the renowned album "A La Mar" with the Sony Music label, which has led him and his band to visit dozens of cities in Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Belgium, the United States and Peru, among others.
