**second show added due to over whelming demand**
Bakermat ( Live )
After an absolutely sell out 2015 world tour, including a show in Paris at the legendary L'Olympia , Bakermat will be returning to London in February with his brand new concept – The Circus.
He has played at almost every credible and important music festival there is over the last 3 years..,, I Love Techno, Ultra Miami, Sensation White, Mainsquare, Montreux Jazz Festival, Tomorrowland, Mysteryland, South West Four.. the list goes on and on. He is also the host of stages at the biggest festivals like the 'Bakermat&Friends' stage at Tomorrowland every year, or the "Bakermat's Gospel Church' at Kingsday Festival and a lot more. As one of the founders his goal is to bring new talent or fellow colleagues to the stage and that's exactly what he does when he's curating a stage. Artists like Klingande, Thomas Jack, The Avener, Robin Schulz and Oliver Heldens are often guests at one of his stages.
Bakermat's new album 'Bon Voyage' is his first studio album and will be released in 2015, it contains new material and new styles/ production techniques. According to Bakermat this was an opportunity for him to " really be free of restrictions and make exactly what I want". With his album, remixes, releases and confirmed shows at the biggest festivals lined up, it seems 2016 will be a great year for Bakermat once again. NOW BAKERMAT introduces to us his new show concept; "THE CIRCUS" featuring stadia style production and line -ups packed with genre pioneering global artists.
After being Mixmag number 1 event in 2013, Bakermat collaborates with Red Sky and the Electric Brixton to reunite a team that is ingrained in the UK's realization of this genre.
MICHAEL CALFAN. The talk of the town and has quickly evolved into the global dance scene to spearhead a fresh new sound. Talk about 'soul house', dance music with a sensitive quality, not only made to get bodies moving but also touch the audience's hearts. It's all there in his distinctive international hit 'Treasured Soul'. As well as other production products the French DJ has delivered these last years bringing a French touch to current house music. Calfan has created something of a specialty for dance floors out there. It's the result of the producer's love for different genres and absorbing these sounds for years while also producing music in a variation of styles. ''It's like therapy for me ", he explains. " I find a lot of inspiration in pop, folk or soul music, as long as it's emotionally charged. So it made sense for me to bring these sentiments into dance music". As a result, Calfan's career is a remarkable excursion from heavy dance floor material to deep and compelling house tunes.
MIKE MAGO: Every major city around the world has that one guy, who's always on top of the freshest sounds and most cutting edge records. Enter Michiel Thomassen, professionally known as Mike Mago, who as label head honcho of Amsterdam-based BMKLTSCH RCRDS has been curating what's hot and what's not from Dutch soil and beyond for several years now. Or, as he likes to put it himself, "it's not about the genre, it's about the taste!" And for a while now, his taste and thus the profile & musical course of his record label have been evolving.
Relentless plays on BBC Radio 1 and huge support and respect from the likes of Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Zane Lowe, Trevor Nelson, Phil Taggart and Alice Levine, Danny Howard, and B.Traits, all strengthens Mike's belief that he has chosen the right course. As the release for 'The Beat' EP gets pushed back a little, Mike returns to the studio to try and create another release for his own imprint to bridge the cap to 'The Beat' EP. The results of those efforts deliver the game changer 'The Show'.
