Bring Me The Horizon confirmed for exclusive gig as part of BRITs Week 2016 together with O2
The BPI and AEG are proud to announce that chart storming UK rock act Bring Me The Horizon are to headline an exclusive gig as part of BRITs Week 2016 together with O2 in the lead up to The BRIT Awards.
Bring Me The Horizon will top the bill as part of Sony Music UK's night at the Electric Brixton on Thursday 18th February, supported by Sundara Karma and Zibra.
Tickets go on sale Friday 29th January from 9am priced at £20 with a contribution from all sales going to War Child.
British rock outfit Bring Me The Horizon are still celebrating the success of their fifth studio album 'That's The Spirit' which went in at No. 2 upon release last September. The band will embark on a world tour in March, before performing a very special show at London's Royal Albert Hall on 22 April. The band will play two nights – one of which has already sold out - at London's O2 Arena towards the end of the year.
In celebration of the most prestigious night in the UK music calendar, BRITs Week 2016 will present a series of one-off gigs and events in London including exclusive shows curated by a different record label. Warner Music UK, Sony Music UK, Universal Music UK and the independent label sector each book their own gigs to showcase their most exciting new talent, with War Child presenting their annual BRIT Awards Show and Passport Back to BRITs Week series of shows.
BRITs Week 2015 hosted amazing live shows by George Ezra at Electric Brixton, Royal Blood at KOKO, and The Charlatans at the Brooklyn Bowl, with the proceeds of tickets sold going to War Child. Take That headlined the annual War Child BRIT Awards pre-show at the O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, marking their most intimate show produced in years.
War Child presented their own series of small gigs during BRITs Week under the banner of Passport Back to the Bars, which saw British acts Duran Duran, The Vaccines, You Me At Six, David Gray, Elbow and Ride (Mark Gardener and Andy Bell acoustic) play intimate shows in both London and Manchester, with tickets obtained via a ballot system.
BRITs Week 2015 helped contribute to the £500k raised for War Child across all the activity for the awards show.
The BRIT Awards 2016 with MasterCard will be held at The O2 in London on Wednesday 24th February and will be broadcast live on ITV.
